  • Hi Nate, we are currently still working with the 3.8.97 version because of game compatibility.We are not packing atlas and also do not have pretty print checked and yes as i said we tried maximizing Spine memory using -Xmx1500m.

    We should talk to the programmers regarding the use of binary type as you said.Till then i will try a few things recommended by you and come back asap with a reply to this.

  • Hi, we are having the same issue with the out of memory message when exporting the json file.
    We used a while ago a syntax to run Spine with more memory and it worked back then.Now even this is not working anymore.Our project is 56 mb in size with a 400 mb images library.
    What do you advice us to do?

    Hi everyone,

    Is there any possibility to keyframe the inherit, maybe in future releases?

    My problem is when i want to switch from ik to fk when animating, but also want in the fk mode to be able to translate or scale the bones of a character.
    Right now in my version of Spine 3.8.97 the ik locks the inherit.

    Thank you so much for all the responses! Luckily the problem was solved by the programmers by rebuilding the parsing or something.

    The JSON file is to large to be uploaded on forum, it has about 60 mb.Any other option where to upload it, or should i use a online uploading solution?

    I've tried that but it gives me the error "An error occured while importing the skeleton.Please be sure to choose a valid skeleton JSON or binary file."

  • This situation happens only when exporting avi or mov.If i want to export as Image (PNG) the preview works fine.

    Thank you Nate for your answer!Is it also possible to combine this method with new elements (assets) for which i want to create skins?
    (Ex. Lets say i want to create different types of heads/faces and also different hairstyles and control these separately.

    Hi and please help me if possible with this,

    So the situation is this, i have hundreds of assets (about 700 in total) and these are used by 17 skeletons in my project.My assets consist in body parts which are both skin color and clothes in the same asset, so the skin is not separate from lets say shirt.So what i did was to change the colors of the body skin in every asset but save as the same name.After that i created different folders named like this Black_Skin, White_Skin etc and copy the assets which are named the same so the project would recognise.So what i want to do is create skins for all these so i can swap from lets say Black Skin to White Skin.
    What would be the most fastest way to do this avoiding to rename manually every duplicated mesh to access the specific skin color folder path.

  • Its still not working unfortunately.I dont know why.

    Im posting these screenshots.

    The CH_001 its the selected skin.
    Pngs were moved to CH_001 folder in the images folder as you can see.

  • So, im not sure why it doesnt work for me.First of all let me tell you about what folders do i have.So i initially had all my images assets in the same place, in the images folder.Everything is assigned and it works ok.But then i made a new folder called Skin_001 and moved all the assets of that skin via windows explorer cut and paste in that folder.So, what exactly should i write in the search tab of the Find and Replace in this case?

    I want to move pngs assets from inside the images folder to specific folders in the images folder, but after moving them, Spine say "Some image files could not be read" i dont know how to relink the images.
    I tried dragging the image from the new folder to where its missing ant it is working, but im sure there are other fastest ways to do it.
