Applying SETUP view transformations
Having spent a fair amount of time of my life animating in blender, I have trouble not being able to "apply" the transformations I do in the SETUP view... In blender, to flip an object you can simply set its scale to -1 and then "apply" it in order to set the new value as the unit; and the same can be done with rotation and scale... Is it just me not finding it, or there is no way to do this thing in Spine?
then "apply" it in order to set the new value as the unit
What does this mean? In Spine, the value you type is applied as you type it. You can the press enter to remove the focus from the text box (or tab/shift+tab to focus the next/previous text box).
by "applying" I mean that the value in the box is set back to 1, though retaining the transformation... let's say that I rotate a bone 65°: in blender (as well as, for example in Illustrator with the "Reset bounding box" command) I am able to "apply" that value and make it the new 0. That's what I mean If it's not clear enough I can make screenshots
Ah, that is called "freeze" in Spine's terminology. Spine allows it for meshes, but not bones or other items.
Meshes - Spine User Guide: Freeze
I know Shiu has wanted it for a long time, though personally I haven't missed it. It isn't often I need it, and when I do, I can use copy and paste. Maybe you can explain the scenarios where you use it most heavily?
Definitely something I'd like to have.
Basically it would be nice to either show transform values in Animate mode relative to Setup mode, or be able to set a neutral pose in Setup mode to zero out transforms.
This would make it a little less scary to change your Setup pose, since you can get it back to the exact same pose it was before the change, by just zeroing the transform values.
