  • BitDefender MacOs detects a Java.Trojan.GenericGB.258 virus

Hello everybody,
i just scanned my mac with BitDefender Free before a backup, and it found this:

Java.Trojan.GenericGB.258

found in

/Application/Spine/Spine.app/Contents/MacOs/launcher/launcher-full.jar=>gpk/jjc/x.class

Same "virus" found in Spine.dmg .

Sadly, it was automatically deleted, so now i need to reinstall the client 🙁

Hope you contact Bitdefender asap, it would be frustrating to reinstall the client at every virus scan.
Thanks in advance and keep going, you did a great job with Spine, i'm a very happy customer.
See you!
Michele

Ciao Michele, per ora potresti aggiungerlo alla lista delle eccezioni, ci assicureremo di contattare Bitdefender, questo problema si ripresenta ciclicamente con gli antivirus, purtroppo.

Hi Michele! you can add the program to the list of exceptions for now, we'll make sure to contact BitDefender, this problem keeps popping out from time to time with antiviruses unfortunately.

Sigh, it's a constant game of whack a mole with anti-virus vendors. We get ourselves whitelisted, just for the next update to produce another round of false positives. I'll try to get BitDefender up to speed as well, thanks for reporting!
