I am attempting to make a cut scene and export this animation as a QuickTime movie file. For reference and final composition, I am using a static background image which I have attached to its own skeleton - by means of the "New Skeleton" command. This skeleton is positioned at the bottom of the Hierarchy Panel so as to make it the farthest back in Z-order.
I have animated a simple foreground object that uses a separate Skeleton. When animating this object, it is important to use Ghosting (onion skins) as a reference to establish the timing and the position of this object with reference to the Background.
The Ghosting works as it should when the Background Skeleton is set to be invisible. When the Background is checked to be visible, the Ghosting images can be seen for the animated object only if the object begins its translation outside of the Background image - but as soon as the animated object passes "in front" of the Background image, the Ghosts (onion skins) disappear behind the Background Image.
I have tried checking and unchecking the "Select" option for the Background and made sure that the animated object has the option "only show ghosting for the selection" un-checked.
Is there a solution for this issue?
Thanks,
Greg Smith
