Still can't get it to work though. I put a script on the prefab with this line in the Update slot (also tried the Start slot) but still the same problem. Not sure if it matters but I do see that in the Skeleton Mesh (Mesh FIlter) it says Type Mismatch and there is an error in the console saying "Material doesn't have a color property _Color"

I got around this, for anyone else having the same problem, here's a quick fix 🙂 just put this script on your player...
void Update ()
{
if (Input.GetKey(KeyCode.LeftArrow))
{
transform.localScale = new Vector3(.2f,.2f,.2f);
}
else if (Input.GetKey(KeyCode.RightArrow))
{
transform.localScale = new Vector3(-.2f,.2f,.2f);
}
}
