OSX: can we get full ‘Open’ and ‘Save’ Dialog Boxes
With fav sidebar, full navigation etc. that would be really helpful
the current dialog box is missing alot and navigating to different volumes, user folder etc. is odd at best
Yeah, it's horrible. It's low priority because it is such a pain to use native file dialogs on OS X, but I'd like to have it. For now you can use Finder find your file, copy the path, and paste it into the crappy Spine file dialog. To copy the path, grab this and then drag the CopyPath shortcut until your Finder toolbar. Then you can select any file in Finder and click CopyPath.
well good that its on the list even low priority
More often I find myself needing to direct to folders with these spine dialogs. (Image folder, export) Now for me on a Mac I have been easily dragging a folder location from a finder window to the spine dialog which in turn navigates to the folder. But because the dialog expects a folder location selection before enabling the confirm button. I then have to use the drop down to navigate one parent up and select the folder.
Might I suggest if no folder is selected in the dialog window, that the current displayed folder be the acceptable folder selection for the dialog to confirm and proceed. Please?
Thanks, Jason
The nasty dialog is out of my control, I can't improve upon it. When we get a real native file dialog it won't be an issue.
