  • Newbie Q - changing facial expressions

Hello,
I have probably a really stupid question, but inability to resolve it is driving me crazy :S I am animating a bear that should change his facial expressions - therefore I have several heads with different facial expressions. I unticked the little dot on those I don't want to use and left it on the one i wanted to use by every keyed animation step, but....they remain the same throughout the full animation. It doesn't matter when and which face I pick, it changes in ALL animation.

What am I doing wrong? Must be something really retarded...help! Thank you in advance :happy:

You need to set a key for the slot change. When you change the attachment underneath the slot notice the dot next to the slot becomes orange, this means there is a change and clicking that dot will create a key for it. Changing it in Setup mode changes it for all animations unless you set a key for the slot in the specific animation.

You could also choose an attachment at runtime using code and that facial expression will stay for all animations until you change it. This is because an animation only change what it keys.
