  • Preview inconsistency?

Hey,
I've encountered this behaviour when previewing a simple animation I'm working on.
This trapdoor just moves to the right (x) and has a bit of anticipation via animation curve, like this:

The weird behaviour is that when I preview the animation, this little anticipation only appears when I play it looped AND only from the second loop forward. See the video:

It's not really a big issue, but I just wanted to share it in case I'm doing something wrong or this happens to be a bug.

Cheers!

The behavior you're experiencing with the animation preview might be related to how the preview window handles animation mixing and playback. If this issue doesn't affect the runtime behavior, it might not be a significant concern, but it's always good to check your animation settings and mixing durations to ensure they are set as intended.

Just to add to what the AI is saying, I already set the mix to 0 as my first attempt to solve the issue, so that should not be the problem, I guess.

Hmm. Could you post or email your project so we can see it firsthand? I could recreate it, but it'd be better if I see exactly what you are seeing. contact@esotericsoftware.com

pixelmeat Thank you for providing the Spine project files. I was able to reproduce the issue and have created an issue ticket to fix this issue: EsotericSoftware/spine-editor858
As I wrote in the ticket description as a workaround, it appears that once the animation is played with Mix set to something other than 0, and then played with Mix set to 0, it plays correctly, even if it is the first time it is played. Thank you for reporting this issue!

Misaki Nice. I'm glad I could help spotting it. Spine is awesome 😎

      Cheers!

We got it fixed in 4.2.38, available now. Thanks for letting us know about the issue!
