skarasuko Every time I work on Spine, there's always a chance I have to rename something, but the window always starts on the left side (or I'm guessing in the main view). It often strains my eyes when modifying text, so I would like it to appear on the center or at least an Interface option to remember the positions and reset when necessary.
Misaki skarasuko Thanks for your input! Let me make sure if I am understanding what you are saying correctly. As far as I tried it, it is true that the default position of the Rename <ItemType> window immediately after starting Spine is in the center of the viewport, but if you then drag it around, it seems to remember that position even after the window is closed. I uploaded a video for clarification:. Is your problem that you have to re-launch Spine frequently, and each time you do, you have to reposition the rename window? (The above video was recorded with 4.2.17-beta, but I have confirmed that even with 4.1.24 the window position is stored unless Spine is restarted.)
Nate As you found, the default position is the center of the viewport. You can move it and the new position will be used until 1) the Spine window is resized, or 2) the Spine window is closed. Does that meet your needs?
skarasuko Misaki Yes, the issue is the Rename window is reset after closing Spine. For a while, this baffled my expectations, because the only renaming action is done in the Tree or Skins tab.
Nate All dialog windows open at the same position. When you move one of them, the others will also open there (centered). It sounds like you want the dialog position to be stored across Spine runs. We can look at doing that, but so far we haven't treated it as a persistent settings. Note it also gets reset if the Spine window changes size (because that could make the old position strange).
Pentacles Nate To have it on a persistent would be nice, I use two screen, it always open in the middle so it's cut in two, it's really unconformable, I didn't wanted to bother you with that, but the window position being persistent between instance would be nice (still can reset on windows resize) in my opinion
