We have just released a bugfix for this issue. A new 4.0 Timeline Extensions UPM package (com.esotericsoftware.spine.timeline
) is available for download here as usual:

In case you still need to use the 3.8 spine-unity runtime and Timeline UPM package, you should be able to copy the added (green) block from this commit manually to the SpineAnimationStateMixerBehaviour.cs
file:
