Isolating selected Path Constraints in the Dopesheet?
It seems that by default, when you select one Path Constraint, every keyframe for every Path Constraint in your scene is automatically displayed in the Dopesheet, as well as all deform keys for all paths (selected or otherwise)
This makes it very cumbersome to adjust the timing of an animation where a Path Constraint is animated in conjunction with other objects in the scene.
Is there a way to set the scene preferences to show only the keys from the selected Path Constraint, rather than all of them?
The dopesheet shows the bone related to the selection. When you select a path, it shows the bone in the dopesheet for that path's slot, as well as all the keyed properties for other things under that bone. The rows for your selection are highlighted.
You can filter the dopesheet to only show deform timelines, but I'm sorry to say there isn't a way to only show the deform timelines for your selection. Can you explain your need a little more? Is it just that you would like less clutter, or are you having trouble box selecting the relevant keys, or something else?
FWIW, in 4.0 the graph gives an alternate way to view your keys and can make some selections or manipulations easier.
Ok, so that was helpful actually. My paths were all children of Root, just by default. By creating a dummy bone for each path, so that that they didn't have the same parent bone, I am able to see one path at a time in the Dopesheet.
And yeah, basically the main issue was that having all the properties of all the paths show at the same time made selecting the groups of relevant keys very difficult.
