I have found a bug!
I have a skinned mesh with bones and mash vertices animation. And when i starting change the bones layering in weights editor window, mash animation is completely brokening. So i haven't any abilities to change the layering of bones...
I'm afraid we can not reproduce the issue based on what you wrote. Please show us 1) what you expect to happen 2) what really happens. Screenshots or video recordings make it easier for us to understand what is going on.

I've managed to reproduce the bug in the raptor-pro
example project.
It will be fixed in the next version of Spine.
