  • Changing Setup bones without affecting Animation?

Hello,

I'm on a big project since a while and my problem is that my character pose in Setup has become obsolete as the project evolved. Basically I would like to change the position of my bone in the Setup mode without affecting all the animations, is that possible?

To be able to do this, you would need to take note of the amount of change you apply to a bone when you move it, and then counter the change in the animations, using the Key Adjust as suggested here: Move all keys at once

For example, if you rotate an arm by +90°, you then select all the keys with Key Adjust selected, then type in the rotation field -90 to counter it, and do this for every animation, and every piece you want to change. So it's possible to do, but it might be long to change everything.

Another option is to reimport the skeleton a second time and use the positions of the old skeleton as a guide for the new skeleton keys that use the new setup pose.
